ACC 2.0 - Accelerator Curve Controller for E-Scooters

Me and my friend Filipe (Mechanical Design Engineer) from croatia, work together in collaboration to develop The Accelerator curve controller for Square Wave Controller from minimotors Electric Scooters.
And this is the result of months of work.

This device solves the problem that all powerfull (square wave) escooters have: the infamous aggressive / jerky start acceleration,
the main function of this small device is to converting linear to 
exponential response, translating in a smooth and precise low speed control.


Description and functionality of Accelerator Curve Controller 2.0:

  • Maps throttle trigger response from linear to exponential in order to achieve a smooth and precise low speed control.
  • Different mapping curves available to fit specific acceleration taste.
  • Cruise control with fine speed adjustment available by pushing a button. For this feature two  buttons must be added to the handlebar.
  • Fast speed limit function. Adjustable speed limiter which can be quickly activated/deactivated by pushing cruise control buttons together.
  • Throttle trigger start position offset can be adjusted if there is dead band (no response at low end).
  • Up to 14% Energy Efficiency
